1. CALL TO ORDER
2. TRUTH IN TAXATION PUBLIC HEARING
Public hearing to receive comments from the public regarding Fielding Town's proposed property tax increase. The Town will explain the reasons for the proposed tax increase and the intended use of the additional property tax revenue. The public will be provided an opportunity to submit written and oral comments and to participate in person and virtually.
Fielding Town is proposing to increase property tax revenue by $13,868 per year, resulting in an 86.19% increase in property tax budgeted revenue above last year's property tax budgeted revenue, excluding eligible new growth.
The proposed tax increase would change the Fielding Town property tax on a $450,000 residence from $82.67 to $153.70, an increase of $71.03 per year. The proposed tax increase would change the Fielding Town property tax on a $450,000 business from $150.30 to $279.45, an increase of $129.15 per year.
3. DISCUSSION AND ACTION REGARDING PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX INCREASE
Discussion and possible action regarding Fielding Town's proposed property tax increase and the amount and purpose of the additional ad valorem tax revenue.
4. RESOLUTION NO. 08-12-2026A — PROPERTY TAX LEVY
Consideration and possible adoption of Resolution No. 08-12-2026A levying Fielding Town's property tax rate in excess of the certified tax rate.
5. RESOLUTION NO. 08-12-2026B — FINAL BUDGET
Consideration and possible adoption of Resolution No. 08-12-2026B adopting Fielding Town's final budget for fiscal year 2026–2027.
6. ADJOURNMENT
